What does it mean when a document is voided?

With Sign.Plus, you have the option to cancel, or void, any pending signature requests for documents that have already been dispatched.

For example, when a document is canceled or a signature request expires, the signature process for that document is also voided. Additionally, a pending document can be voided if any other pending actions are canceled. Find a few examples of those cases below:

  • The sender can void the pending document from the Documents tab from their account Dashboard by following the steps for canceling a signature request.
  • Pending documents reach their expiration date.
  • If a recipient declines to sign.
