What is the difference when a signer "viewed" the document as opposed to "opened" the document?

When a recipient clicks the email link to access the document received via SIGN.PLUS, their action triggers an Opened event.

When opening a document, the recipient is prompted to check a box indicating they accept the Electronic Records and Signatures Disclosure. Until this disclosure is not accepted, the signer will not be able to review the content of the received document.

Once the Electronic Records and Signatures Disclosure is accepted, we will record the event Viewed in the document history, both when checking the progress of your document, and within the audit trail. Moreover, when a recipient views the document, an email notification is sent to the document owner (requester).
