THE INFORMATION SIGN.PLUS COLLECTS
SIGN.PLUS may obtain the following types of information, which may include information that can be used to identify you as specified below (“Personally Identifying Information”):
User Provided Information: You provide certain Personally Identifiable Information, such as your electronic signature or mobile phone number to SIGN.PLUS when choosing to participate in various uses of the SIGN.PLUS Service, such as registering as a user. In connection with your use of the Services. You may also provide us with personal information about other individuals when you use our Service, such as when you send or receive a signature request/workflow transaction, share information about such transactions, or ask others to electronically sign documents.
Log File Information: When you use the SIGN.PLUS Site (www.sign.plus) or SIGN.PLUS mobile application, our servers automatically record certain information that your web browser or mobile app sends to our servers. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser language, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform type, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages and the date and time of your request.
The use of information collected through our service shall be limited to the purpose for which you have engaged SIGN.PLUS. When you use our Services, we process and store certain information on your behalf as a data processor. For example, when a customer upload a documents for review or signature, we act as a data processor and process information on the customer’s behalf and in accordance with the customer’s instructions. In this situation, the customer is the data controller and is responsible for most aspects of the processing of the information. SIGN.PLUS acknowledges that you have the right to access your personal information. SIGN.PLUS has no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data it processes. An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete data should direct their questions to SIGN.PLUS’s customers (the data controller). If requested to remove data we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. If you have any questions or concerns about how information is processed in these cases, including how to exercise your rights as a data subject, we recommend contacting the relevant customer.
Information Collected by Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies: We (including service providers who are working on our behalf) use various technologies to collect information, which may include saving cookies to your computer or mobile device. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us to improve the SIGN.PLUS Services and your experience, customize your experience and preferences, allow you to access and use the SIGN.PLUS Services without re-entering your username and/or password, understand which areas and features of the SIGN.PLUS Services are most popular and count visits. We may also collect information using web beacons (also known as “tracking pixels”). Web beacons are electronic images (also called “gifs”) that may be used in the SIGN.PLUS Services or in emails that help us to deliver cookies, count visits, understand usage and campaign effectiveness and determine whether an email has been opened and acted upon.
THE INFORMATION SIGN.PLUS DOES NOT COLLECT
SIGN.PLUS does not collect emails, addresses or other contact information from its users’ mobile address book or contact lists other than name (first and last) and phone numbers.
THE WAY SIGN.PLUS USES INFORMATION
If you submit Personally Identifiable Information to us through the SIGN.PLUS Site (www.sign.plus), or SIGN.PLUS Service, then we use your personal information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the SIGN.PLUS Site (www.sign.plus) and SIGN.PLUS Service. In particular, your mobile phone number is essential to your use of the SIGN.PLUS Service and will be retained. We do not use your mobile phone number or other Personally Identifiable Information to send commercial or marketing messages.
By signing up to SIGN.PLUS you automatically subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates on new features and releases via email and/or mobile app push notifications. You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in the emails or turning off SIGN.PLUS mobile app’s push notification service.
WHEN SIGN.PLUS DISCLOSES INFORMATION
We do not sell or share your Personally Identifiable Information (such as mobile phone number) with other third-party companies for their commercial or marketing use. We may collect and release Personally Identifiable Information and/or non-personally-identifiable information if required to do so by law, or to provide proof in case of a payment dispute or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with international law or respond to a court order, subpoena or equivalent.
THIRD-PARTY ADVERTISERS, LINKS TO OTHER SITES
We are not fans of advertising. SIGN.PLUS is currently ad-free and we hope to keep it that way forever. We have no intention to introduce advertisement into the product, but if we ever do, will update this section.
OUR COMMITMENT TO DATA SECURITY
SIGN.PLUS uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your personal information. We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to SIGN.PLUS and you do so at your own risk. Using unsecured wifi or other unprotected networks to submit messages through the SIGN.PLUS Service is never recommended. Once we receive your transmission of information, SIGN.PLUS makes commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the security of our systems. However, please note that this is not a guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. If SIGN.PLUS learns of a security systems breach, then we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps.
OUR COMMITMENT TO CHILDREN’S’ PRIVACY
Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. For that reason, SIGN.PLUS does not knowingly collect or maintain Personally Identifiable Information or non-personally-identifiable information on the SIGN.PLUS Site (www.sign.plus) or SIGN.PLUS Service from persons under 18 years of age, and no part of the SIGN.PLUS Service is directed to or intended to be used by persons under 18. If you are under 18 years of age, then please do not use the SIGN.PLUS Service or access the SIGN.PLUS Site (www.sign.plus) at any time or in any manner. If SIGN.PLUS learns that Personally Identifiable Information of persons under 18 years of age has been collected on the SIGN.PLUS Site (www.sign.plus) or SIGN.PLUS Service, then SIGN.PLUS may deactivate the account and/or make the status submissions inaccessible.
IN THE EVENT OF MERGER, SALE, OR BANKRUPTCY
In the event that is acquired by or merged with a third party entity, we reserve the right to transfer or assign the information we have collected from our users as part of such merger, acquisition, sale, or other change of control.
